Our goals are to work with our partners to build projects that meet the educational, public health, and wellbeing needs of partnering communities and to support and enhance the sustainability of our partner communities in Tanzania.
At this time we are unable to accept applications for Infrastructure projects.
We are accepting applications for Kujenga Jamii projects.
Infrastructure projects are most typically buildings, usually related to education or health.
Kujenga Jamii – Community building projects enhance and deepen the stability and sustainability of the community. Project examples include a garden, educational bursaries, purchase of livestock.
We work with communities in Tanzania – be they a whole village, a neighbourhood, or people who are linked together by faith, culture or social action. Our Society has a Project Liaison team; individual members who appreciate connecting and creating partnerships with individuals and communities in Tanzania. Teams from the community and from the Society work together to bring a funded project to completion.
We appreciate applying for funding takes time away from other work. So, we have developed some questions to help your community determine if it might be eligible for funding.

Application Process
Step 1
All applicant communities must complete our Eligibility Application. For the Love of Africa uses this short application process to determine if the project aligns with our goals.
If your community is considering an Infrastructure project you can download the eligibility application HERE.
And if you are considering a Kujenga Jamii – Community Building project you can download the eligibility application HERE.

Our Project Committee will review your application. We will contact you within 4 – 6 weeks to either invite you to complete a Detailed Application or let you know that we are not able to consider your project.
STEP 2
If you are invited to submit a Detailed Application the Project Liaison Team will be in contact with you. Two teams – your community team and our project liaison team – will work together to complete the detailed application which will include information about the project, the estimated cost, the people involved and how any ongoing costs will be managed. We’ll use WhatsApp and email as our primary communication tools.
STEP 3
Once the Detailed Application is completed, it will be reviewed by For the Love of Africa to make a final determination on funding. This process – from Eligibility Application to the final determination can take 3 – 6 months. Assuming a positive outcome, the Society and community will sign a contract to outline roles and responsibilities. In some situations, we may already have the funds available and can start working together right after the final approval. Larger projects may require some time to fund. If we need time to raise the funds to support your project we are likely to ask for your help with photos, specific information or even an interview with one of your team.
